About Anchora

Anchora doesn't replace the trust that already exists in communities. It strengthens it.

Anchora is a technology platform for community financing — infrastructure, not a replacement, for the relationships people already use to save, contribute and build wealth together.

Mission

To modernise community finance by providing secure, transparent and governed digital infrastructure that enables people to save, contribute, plan and build wealth individually and together — while preserving the trust, relationships and traditions that make communities strong.

Vision

To become the world’s trusted infrastructure for community financing — empowering individuals, families and communities to build wealth, strengthen financial resilience and create lasting prosperity together.

Why Anchora Exists

Across Africa, the Caribbean, Asia and diaspora communities around the world, millions of people already save, contribute and build financial resilience together through Esusu, Ajo, Susu, ROSCAs, Chamas and other community-based financial traditions.

These systems work because they run on trust — but run informally, that trust depends entirely on one person’s memory, honesty and availability. Records get lost. Circumstances change. A single point of failure can undo years of careful saving.

Anchora modernises these trusted financial practices through secure technology, transparent governance and regulated financial infrastructure — so the traditions that already work can work more securely, transparently and effectively.

The Philosophy

Relationships first. Technology strengthens them.

Principles guide everything Anchora builds — from how a circle recovers a missed payment, to how a legacy is provided for the next generation.

01

Trust Before Technology

Communities already possess relationships, traditions and systems of mutual financial support. Anchora doesn't replace that trust — it strengthens it.

02

Commitment Builds Trust

Every contribution honoured strengthens the record of responsible participation that follows a member across the ecosystem.

03

Reputation Should Be Earned

Responsible participation, consistency and fulfilled commitments are meaningful signals of financial reliability — not just traditional financial history.

04

Good Standing Protects the Community

Where commitments are missed, Anchora favours communication, recovery and resolution before any restriction — the goal is to preserve participation, not simply identify failure.

05

Transparency Creates Confidence

People should always understand what they've agreed to, what's expected, what's been contributed, and what rules govern their participation.

06

Governance Protects Trust

Community trust should never depend on one individual holding unchecked financial authority. Anchora combines trust with structured, auditable governance.

07

Community Without Losing Individual Control

Building together should never mean automatically surrendering financial independence. People should understand what's theirs, what's shared, and what they've agreed to.

08

Purpose Gives Finance Meaning

People don't simply save an amount — they save for homes, education, businesses, weddings, emergencies and the people they love. Anchora connects financial activity to real purpose.

09

Responsible Participation Strengthens Everyone

Strong communities are built on sustainable commitments — not on encouraging people to contribute more than they can responsibly maintain.

010

Build for Today and Future Generations

From saving circles to legacy planning, Anchora supports financial progress across every stage of life — helping people build resilience, opportunity and lasting prosperity together.

How trust is protected

Community trust should never depend on one individual holding unchecked financial authority. Anchora combines trust with structured governance — deterministic rules, explicit consent, dual-control approval for community and legacy funds, and safeguarded infrastructure that keeps participant funds segregated from Anchora’s own operating funds.

A missed contribution is never treated as an automatic default. Every material decision — a contribution, a recovery step, a release, a payout — is recorded in an auditable history.
